Fall & Winter Fashion 2009 / 2010

I know…it’s still summer and fall is a ways off (in my mind anyway!) but it is time to talk about Fall Fashions for us 40+ Fabulous Women.

I have two words for you (well three actually) Boots & Skinny Jeans.

This look was in last year and is even more for 2009/2010. The boots keep getting better & better! The craze continues for the “Riding Boot”, a must paired with the skinny jean (regular jeans bunch and that’s a no- no…) Black or Brown, it’s all in the detail, the right boot looks classy yet comfortable. Paired with a long sweater or layers it is a no-brainer…and the boots are comfortable because of the low heel (great for us tall gals!)

Of course we can go the other direction with the calf hugging, tall, stiletto heel boot again with the “skinny jean” or skirt & tights. These are great for going out on the town and looking like the sexy Goddess that you are! These are not the boots for comfort, these are hot and they make your legs look a mile long!

A great plus the last year or two are the baggier, longer tops & sweaters. They can be shapely, just not body hugging (unless you have the stomach of a 20 something…) they should hit you upper to mid thigh and isn’t that great when we want to cover any “problem” areas? Color is very important even going into fall. Gray is the “new black”, colors like Pumpkin, Purple, Dark Blue, Dark Pink are hot….remember ladies white is not just to be worn up to and not after labor day….a really cool winter white puffy vest or coat can be a show stopper especially when paired with one of the above mentioned colors ( and black of course!)
