For many people, maintaining healthy family relationship can seem to have become a routine. With the many external pressures such as kids, jobs and errands sometimes it can be difficult to reconnect.

Here are a few great ideas on little ways to say I love you and maintaining a long lasting healthy family relationship.
- A small letter is one of the easiest ways to convey your love. Your “love letter” doesn’t have to be 10 pages long, or even 2 pages, just a few words that mean something to the both of you will do wonders.
- If you’re not a good writer, simply purchase a nice card that says the feeling that you feel from one of the many card stores.
- If your spouse loves flowers, send her some flowers to her work place or home when she least expects it. While anniversary and birthday flowers are always well received, send over a beautiful bouquet if you really want to surprise her.
- If your spouse collects little keepsakes or small trinkets, you might want to get her some as a small surprise gift. You can wrap up these keepsakes nicely and leave them on a pillow or in a special place.
- Little gifts such as these will always be remembered for years. If you are looking for some small ways to say I love you, take a look at the above suggestions.
- Now being creative on the other hand, does take some imagination!
- Not just putting a love note in the lunch – but wrapping it in saran wrap and inserting it into the sandwich. Now there’s a statement! Try writing something silly – chances are whoever they’re eating with will want to know what it says. Although initially embarrassing, they will love the attention.
- Putting a heart on the napkin
- I’ve always taken a bit out of the kids’ lunch sandwiches, letting them know I ‘tested’ it to make sure it was OK. I recently found out that 10 years after our divorce, my ex husband still does this to our teenagers sandwiches. While the teen rolls his eyes, we both know he feels loved by this silly tradition.
- Leave something like a note inside the bed, on the pillow – even under the toilet seat lid!
- Stuff a note inside their pocket, their socks, wherever they’ll find it when they least expect it
- If your children are too young to read – use sign language. A heart goes a long way. My kids love the XOXO. Even the oldest at age 28!
